To Be Conclude
Here we end with the compensation plan of LifeVantage. Now let us answer the most asked question, is LifeVanatge a Scam?
Is LifeVantage a Scam?
No, LifeVantage is not a scam. It is a direct-selling company which is legalized in almost all countries requiring to learn essential MLM skills to succeed.
Distributors get a commission on personal and downline product sales. It is different from fraud money circulation schemes (Ponzi and Pyramid Scheme).
But LifeVantage has a different reality from claims and various linked controversies.
Controversies
LifeVantage and its representative repeatedly made various health claims from their products that are not clinically proven. Hence FDA sent a warning letter to LifeVantage on April 17, 2017.
FDA cite Nrf2science.com, lifevantage.com, and protandim.com for misleading product claims about treating and preventing cancer-like diseases.
Brian Smith who operates a cancer NGO alleged LifeVantage a pyramid scheme pretending to be MLM by selling supplements and filed a lawsuit.
Smith was approached by LifeVantage distributors and lured to purchase a $1000 starter kit. He was misguided and not told about a smaller starter kit.
Smith adds, that he needs to pay extra to attend meetings to learn selling secretes, and new distributors are forced to start auto-ship purchases.
Smith was kept charged and receiving products after cancelling his auto shipment. Moreover, he was unable to return unordered products and get a refund.
On Jan 8, 2016, Jeunesse (MLM competitor of LifeVantage) filed a lawsuit against Darren Jensen.
Darren Jansen remained the president of Jeunesse before joining LifeVantage. Jeunesse alleged Darren used sensitive information and resources of Jeunesse for LifeVantage’s operation. This case was later settled after a few months.
Expensive Products and Claims
LifeVantage has made various claims regarding its products. These products are extremely expensive to the customers. Whilst, claims and results are not the same.
Some benefits of Protandim are clinically proven, but most LifeVantage products need more research papers to prove the claims they make.
Should I Join LifeVantage?
If you are interested to market LifeVantage supplements and want to create a distributor network then LifeVantage can be an option.
But before that, you must go through income disclosure.
- 75.63% of distributors earn an average of $4 monthly.
- 94% of distributors earn less than $200 monthly.
- Less than 1% of distributors earn $3000 and more monthly.
- It takes around 1 year to reach $1400 monthly income and 95% of distributors never reach there.
Distributors need to be in the top 1% and years to struggle to get a decent commission from LifeVantage and similar MLM companies. As a result, it is seen that most people fail in MLM.
After understanding the MLM compensation plan and real use case of products, then only you can take chance to be in it.
